Dragon Boat Festival which is one of the four Chinese Traditional Festivals(They are the Dragon Boat Festival, the Spring Festival, the Tomb Sweeping Dayand the Mid-Autumn Festival).
The Dragon Boat Festival originated from the totem sacrifice held by the tribes who worshiped the dragon totem in ancient times. But more of us know this festival is used to commemorate our great patriotic poet Qu Yuan who committed suicide by bouldering and jumping on the Miluo River during the Dragon Boat Festival during the Warring States Period.
The two iconic customs of the Dragon Boat Festival are eating Zongzi (Traditional Chinese rice-pudding)and Dragon Boat Racing, which lasted more than 2,000 years in memory of him.
